Working in a business as complex, fast moving and customer-focused as an airline industry puts intense demands on the skills of BA's management team. The support provided by Operational Research (OR) is critical to decision making within the business. OR employs over 50 consultants working across the business, bringing about effective change through analytical excellence.



Requirements



Candidates must have the ALL of the following to apply:

Right to live and work in the UK
First degree 2:1 Achieved or will achieve 2:1
Significant OR content at BSc/MSc/PhD
2 A-levels (Grade A-C) or equivalent
Either highly quantitative first degree OR 3rd A-level Maths/Statistics (Grade A-B) or equivalent
Skills & Knowledge

You are able to apply business modelling, problem structuring and complex data analysis to complex business problems.
You are able to translate technical information into concepts that are easily understood by non-technical audiences.
You write clear reports and give clear presentations about your work.
You have the ability to communicate with people at all levels in the business.



Responsibilities

As part of British Airways OR team you will be working closely with people at all levels, you'll be involved in high profile projects right across our business. You'll have the opportunity to show your initiative, drive and enthusiasm on a variety of projects such as helping BA make the most of Terminal 5. The projects will typically involve structuring a wide variety of complex issues. You'll use sophisticated analytical techniques to find the best solutions and work with the business to implement them effectively.
