Interior Design Company located in Maldives

Our clients, Interior Design Company located in Maldives is seeking the following positions:

1. Architectural Drafter
2. Quantity Surveyor
3. Project Manager
4. Interior Designer (prefer Female)


Architectural Drafter Responsibilities:
  • Architectural drafter complete architects' and other designers' concepts by preparing drawings, estimates and plans and liaising with builders and contractors.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, showing internal and external layouts of the buildings
  • Analyse architects' or other designers' concepts, and prepare preliminary sketches and detailed instructions
  • Use computers or manually produce designs, detailed drawings and documentation
  • Prepare working drawings showing plans, elevations, sections, materials and finishes, as well as other aspects such as layouts, plumbing, drainage, car parking and landscaping
  • Calculate the quantity and quality of materials needed, material and labor costs and project completion dates
  • Interpret client briefs and prepare and develop sketch plans for client approval
  • Help prepare building specifications for building plans to suit individual clients
  • Represent or assist architects on building sites to make sure that plans and specifications are followed
  • Examine relevant codes and by-laws in the course of undertaking project documentation.

Requirements:
§ A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in related field.
§ Specialization in CAD.
§ Good analytical thinking, problem solving, verbal communications and presentation skills.
§ Able to concentrate for long periods.
§ Good team player.
§ Minimum of 3 years working experience.
§ Some artistic talent in freehand drawing.
§ Able to be accurate and neat in drawing work patient
§ Able to visualise ideas in three-dimensional form
§ Enjoy technical drawing and working with computers



Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
  • Quantity surveyor prepares cost estimates and plans, audit projects, manage construction costs and administer construction contracts for all levels and types of construction.
  • Talk to architects, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers and project owners.
  • Study architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare a 'Bill of Quantities', which lists the individual components required to construct the project.
  • Check on changes of design to assess the effects on cost.
  • Assess and recommend payment to contractors during construction.
  • Prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts for clients and tax depreciation schedules.
  • Undertake feasibility studies to assist in decisions about the worth of a project proceeding.
  • Act as consultants to business.
  • Prepare and administer tenders and contract documents.

Requirements:
§ A Bachelor's degree in related field.
§ Excellent in MS-Excel.
§ Good analytical thinking, problem solving, verbal communications and presentation skills.
§ Able to work accurately with figures.
§ Able to concentrate for long periods.
§ Good team player.
§ Minimum of 5 years working experience.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
  • Serves as the company's representative, supervising and coordinating the construction process of construction projects. Ensures compliance with Local authority requirements.
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and management in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project management team on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Requirements:
§ A Bachelor's degree in building construction or related field.
§ Excellent in Computer.
§ Good analytical thinking, problem solving, verbal communications and presentation skills.
§ Able to concentrate for long periods.
§ Good team player.
§ 3 years of working experience in a similar position.


Interior designer responsibilities:
  • Interior designers design and supervise the construction or redevelopment of building interiors.
  • Talk to clients and architects to work out client needs and intentions, and to make sure that client requirements are met.
  • Develop designs that are appropriate, functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Advice clients on the selection of color schemes, layout, lighting, furniture, floor coverings, curtains, paint, wallpaper and hardware products (e.g. curtain fittings).
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications for interior construction, materials, finishes, space planning, lighting, furnishings and equipment.
  • Estimate costs of materials, labor and time, and give estimates to clients for approval.
  • Supervise and coordinate the installation and arrangement of furniture and furnishings.
  • Inspect the work of suppliers and manufacture, and maintain time, cost and quality controls.
  • Work with specialists in technical areas concerned with fire, hydraulics, and mechanical, electrical and structural design, making sure that industry regulations are met.
  • Prepare and administer tenders and contract documents.
  • Design exhibitions, commercial display stands or stage, film and television production sets.
  • Interior design requires an understanding of building construction, lighting, color and furniture.

Requirements:
§ A Bachelor's degree in related field.
§ Specialization in AutoCAD.
§ Experience in 3D Studio Max and Adobe Photoshop
§ Creativity and artistic flair
§ Good at problem-solving and lateral thinking
§ Able to work as part of a team
§ Able to work independently
§ Good communication skills
§ Aptitude for technical drawing and illustration
§ 5-years working experience
