Closing date: 12th December 2007 Fantastic opportunity to develop and manage our frequent flyer alliance partnerships. The successful candidate will be an effective and commercially astute thinker who has a passion for delivery and seeing solutions through complexity. They must be able to quickly understand the issues for partner airlines and BA both in terms of the Executive Club, but also in terms of the wider airline relationship. They will be strong interpersonally, culturally sensitive, good at building relationships within BA and with partner airline staff and confident enough to negotiate on BA's behalf.
Job Purpose - To account manage the overall Executive Club relationship with a selection of BA's airline partners, maximising the benefit from the relationship for British Airways in total.
Job Dimensions - Responsible for account management of portfolio of air partner & franchise Frequent Flyer Partnership relationships. These contracts represent significant incremental revenue value to BA.
Principle Accountabilities - Feasibility, assessment and implementation of new partners, including the development of business cases, contract negotiation, performance management and termination.
- Project management of partner developments, including the implementation of a new partner, ensuring on time delivery of communications, business processes, IM and commercial contracts.
- Partnership management on a day to day level, acting as first point of contact for external and internal staff on partner FFP issues
- Ensure effective internal communication on partner issues
- Ensure BA Brand Equity is not compromised / is enhanced by working with Alliance partners
- Ensures that contract terms are adhered to through tight management of the relationship and regular reviews with legal department
- Works with finance to manage and influence the cost of sale and revenue elements of the FFP agreements
- Strategic development & exploitation of the FFP relationship to deliver maximum revenue benefit to BA
- Reporting and analysis of partner frequent flyer trends
Skills/Knowledge - Conversant in contract management & negotiation
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Project/programme management
- Good interpersonal skills coupled with cultural sensitivity
- Strong commercial/business awareness
- Ideally knowledge of Exec Club proposition and mechanics of loyalty schemes PC/spreadsheet literate
Experience - Must have experience of loyalty schemes

Probably working in the airline, hotel, financial services sectors or a loyalty scheme companies -
Experience of partnership management. -
Negotiation of contracts and commercial experience -
Strong relationship management -
Analysis exp (understand the numbers of contracts and negotiations as Loyalty schemes are so complex) - Working knowledge of Marketing,
- Direct marketing background desirable.
- Previous project management exposure, ideally as project lead.
- Ability to travel extensively and at short notice.
Qualifications - Educated to degree level.
Interaction - Staff at all levels in partner airlines up to MD level.
