Personnel Strategies, Inc looking for a Benefits Manager-USA

We are looking for a Benefits Manager. Location: San Diego Headquarters and reporting to the VP of Human Resources. The primary responsibility is to manage whole company benefits programs across a broad spectrum of employee offerings. Under general guidance from the VP of HR the jobholder will contribute to a benefits strategy that positions the company as a competitive player in the marketplace while ensuring cost effective delivery of benefits solutions.
 
We are pursuing our highly successful strategy to focus the business on defense and security solutions, where we already have a significant presence. We are a leading provider of professional services in the areas of defense, technology and public safety and security solutions. Significant customers include various military branches of the Department of Homeland Security, the US Department of Defense, local government agencies state, NASA  and in addition to commercial customers. Our areas of expertise include:
-integrated logistics
-weapons systems support and maintenance
-public safety and communications technology services
-test and evaluation
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
• Develop and implement benefits plans and programs for the organization.
• Present supporting plan and program materials to a wide audience including employees, HR team members, and management.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate plan coverage and service costs as required.
• Develop and implement a continuous review process to ensure that programs offered remain current and competitive with regard to marketplace trends, best practice, costs and legal requirements.
• Train, educate and coach company line management and human resources staff about benefits and compensation concepts.
 
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with two to three years experience managing benefits programs in a multi state environment. You will excel in a fast-paced multi-task business growth environment. In addition, your outstanding interpersonal skills mean that you are capable of influencing management decision-making up to executive level. You will also have excellent project and program management skills to both drive solutions and manage external vendors. CCP certification is a plus.
