The Price Product Specialist (PPS) is responsible for managing a set of Long or Short Haul flights, using forecasting techniques to optimise route revenue by using various state of the art systems. Planning, analytical and commercial capabilities are critical to the role, where specifically you will be required to set out a strategy taking into account market conditions and possible competitor activity. This strategy will require buy-in from the commercial team and should be based on learning gained through in-depth analysis, using both standard and ad-hoc reports.

* Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics impacting the relevant routes.
* Review of performance against inventory key performance measures.
* Regularly review BA’s commercial position in the market including Analysis of competitor pricing Feedback from customers, sales, agents, and staff Owning, updating and delivery to the route strategy.
* Ensure flight set up is consistent with the network revenue targets and that network business is optimally protected for.
* Develop and maintain a route revenue optimisation strategy including trade up, trade in, trade across and minimization of trade down.
* Execute Standard Operating Procedure for managing price products on flights and identify opportunities to improve best practice.
* Ensure optimal seat access against an agreed fare ladder, set up flights to take into account special events.
* Create and maintain demand forecast for all price products to a level of accuracy required for revenue optimisation.
* Manage demand forecasting for point to point premium traffic to ensure this product is available for customers up to departure, wherever possible.
* Provide Route Planning input to the Network Revenue Targeting via assumptions input on expected demand and price changes.
* Ensure transfer business gets seat access based on overall network contribution.
* Manage closed user group / specialist traffic effectively, maximize overbooking benefits within corporate offload/downgrade targets, expert in decision support systems
